As soon as I got them, I wanted to post a review how awesome they were. Only, I waited for about a week to test them out. So now after a week, I am pleased to say these headphones were everything I wanted. The sound quality matches up to my previous Bose In Ear Headphones plus I get that stylish cable and look of them. I\'ve had at least 20 people this past week mention my headphones to me, all good feedbacks. I am proud to own them.

I bought the refurbished beats and they came in the original sealed box with everything that Monster Cable\'s website said should be in there. It only took a couple tries to get the right earpieces that fit me comfortably and sound great. These headphones do have a lot of bass and it can be overpowering but thats what the sound equalizer is for(the EQ). Any modern mp3 worth these headphones will have an EQ setting. You can adjust the setting for each individual song on iTunes so don\'t worry about the overpowering bass. These things sound bad ass. I had Sennhieser cx-300\'s for 2 years till they broke and I replaced them with these. The beats highs and mids are much, much clearer than the 300\'s and the bass is just as good if not better. They are made out of plastic but they feel sturdy and durable. The Beats don\'t feel heavy in your ears. Overall these seem like they will last longer than the Sennhiesers. The audio jack is straight not 90 degrees like most but it seems solid. The flat cable is sweet, no tangles and seems unbreakable. Its about 3 to 3.5 feet which is perfect for my armband or belt clip for my iPod.

Well I must say, I was very happy with this purchase. I purchased it solely because of the hype and it being associated with Dr. Dre, and when I was evaluating my decision to buy it, I was contemplating certain Sennheiser models because they were better rated and more professional than beats in terms of overall sound clarity/quality. And they were cheaper as well. But I went ahead and purchased Beats, and I am not disappointed at all. Although it is expensive, if you can afford it, get it. Although hardcore audiophiles will be able to differenciate superior quality from good quality, this is a treat for the pro and casual user. It\'s got incredible bass and is loud. Although a lot of people complained about this, saying it\'s too noisy and loud; I say it\'s perfect for most genres, if you get yout preset correct. iPod presets are usually very accurate, and when combines with an iPod, this is an absolute beast. It is the best for Hiphop, but also excellent for Instrumentals, OSTs and tripped out music. I love listening to music on these, they give new life to the songs you have heard before, and in a way, make average songs sound sonically good! You can get very immersed in the music on these, and are perfect for that stoning/drinking session. Apart from that, it\'s biggest strengths is it\'s portability and ability to be used for a long time without feeling strain or sweat. That is not many other brands can accomplish however. Mind you, the build material is not the strongest, so if you abuse it, expect it to be broken easily. If you are, on the other hand a person who handles stuff gently, you don\'t have to worry about this. For all those who think iPod\'s ear buds are as good as it gets, try these for size! Jimmy Iovine\'s marketing pitch is true after all. You really fall in love with music with this experience, and makes your favourite songs sound fresh and full of new life and subtle things that you haven\'t noticed before. Although it isn\'t too great a value for the money, it does the job, gets you a lot of attention wherever you go and is uber stylish. Together with an iPod, makes a great companion. People say it has flaws, but I say, it\'s how you fine tune it and use it. And one more thing - if you are a Hip-Hopper, this is the best right here, son. 100% satisfied customer. Thanks PopuTrade!
